RainStick Shower, a Canadian clean technology company, launched North America’s first Wi-Fi-enabled circular shower earlier this year. RainStick is revolutionizing the water-technology space because it saves 80 percent water and up to 80 percent energy while maintaining almost twice the flow rate of a traditional low-flow shower. California and Washington have mandated 1.8 gallons per minute and Rainstick’s flow rate is 3 GPM.

The unit starts with fresh grid-supplied water; however, instead of going down the drain, RainStick uses proprietary recirculation technology to capture, circulate and clean the water—all in real time—to avoid waste. The three-stage process uses a micron filter to remove hair and debris, disinfects water and kills bacteria and viruses through long-life UV-LED technology.

Users can also download the RainStick app on their smartphone to instantaneously see environmental insights, allowing them to track their water usage and energy savings. Available in matte black and nickel finishes, RainStick was awarded the “Best of KBIS” 2022 Impact Award Winner.
